Go Ahead And Call Me A Bitch
Wow. The B-word has become such a common term that it is used every other minute. Now, I have no issues with people using this word. But it’s when people use it as an insult to women, that’s when I feel like I need to use Thor’s hammer to hit those people on the head.
To the men and women referring to other girls/women as “bitches”: Really? Why do we do this? What’s wrong with us? Huh?
Kids are using this term at school. KIDS. Little humans calling women a bitch. Is that really the kind of world that we want our daughters to grow up in? Where they are referred to as a bitch? We use this word at college and at the workplace too. Sometimes, we just laugh it off but other times, it affects us. Let’s try that again. Most times, it affects us.
It’s a word that is made up specially to criticize women, to humiliate them, to undermine them, hurt them, to make them feel undervalued, and just to plain insult them. And this is not okay. In fact, it’s become such a casual word that it’s hard for some people to complete their sentence without using this term.
You cannot, just CANNOT refer to women as bitches. Whether they are right or wrong, strong or weak, fat or thin, YOU are NOT in a position to judge someone and call them names.
This needs to stop. But it doesn’t seem like it will anytime soon. Because no matter what I do, big/ small, right/ wrong, good/ bad, I’ll always be a bitch. So, here’s what being a “BITCH” means to me,
“A women who is strong in her body, doesn’t give in, is unapologetic, feminine, beautiful, happy, and doesn’t give a crap about your catcalls. A women who is happy with herself, whom the others see as a threat, is a bitch.”
Now that we’ve established what it means to me, here are a few reasons stating why I’ve been called a bitch…
Because your fucked up ego can’t handle me, I’m a bitch.

Because I’m not ready to have sex with you, I’m a bitch.

Because I did what I wanted to do instead of what society told me to do, I’m a bitch.

Because I exist, I’m a bitch.
Because I’m a woman, I’m a bitch.
If these things make me a bitch, then I’ll wear that label with pride. Thank you for the title. LOVE being a bitch.
