A Reminder To My Best Friends: I’ll Always Be There For You
Having a best friend is amazing. Somebody to laugh with, a shoulder to cry on, a person to trust… they are there for you when you need them the most. When you need to talk to somebody, but everybody seems busy, your best friend is always there. Even if they’re asleep, you know you can send them multiple texts and the next morning, you wake up to multiple text replies and two seconds later, they are at your side with breakfast.
They make you smile when you’re feeling down, even if it’s with a stupid joke. You might not even laugh, but you’ll smile, because your best friend can do anything. Your best friend is your sunshine on a rainy day.
The love you have for a friend is the most real and pure. Your best friend is always there for you.
But friends come and go, even the best ones. And when this happens, it may be because of a bunch of different reasons. You could have gotten in an argument, or one of you is mad but doesn’t explain why, or you both could have drifted organically. Regardless of why it ends between the two of you, remember what used to keep you together: your love for one another. Even if you have drifted, if you need them, their love for you is so strong that they will be there for you in a second.
Your best friend was there for you once, and will always be there for you.
I am writing this to the friends I have lost, and the ones I am still with, old and new. I will always be there for you, no matter what happens. Even when it feels like I’m not there, we will never lose each other. You will always be a ray of light in my life. I love you too much to let go completely, and I will always be there for you.
