I Hope You Won’t Get Tired

I hope you won’t get tired of smiling at me upon opening your eyes in the morning. It tells me you’re happy to see me.

I hope you won’t get tired of texting me when we’re not together, or looking for me when I am in another room. It tells me you miss me.

I hope you won’t get tired of having me around all the time and doing everything with me. It tells me you love being with me.

I hope you won’t get tired of our conversations. It tells me you want me to be a part of your world, and you of mine.

I hope you won’t get tired of making me laugh, of coming up with every excuse to brighten my day. It tells me you want to see me happy at all times.

I hope you won’t get tired of cheering me on, of supporting every one of my endeavors and my passions. Of reminding me of my gifts and of letting other people know how proud you are of my achievements. It tells me you believe in me.

I hope you won’t get tired of encouraging me to want more for myself. It tells me you want the best for me.

I hope you won’t get tired of being that pillar I hold on to when things get tough. It tells me you are here for me.

I hope you won’t get tired of reaching for my hand as you fight your demons and better your life. It tells me I’m all you need through the good and the bad.

I hope you won’t get tired of my long narratives of gratitude and love, of hearing me say how thankful I am to have you by my side and how much my world has changed since you came into it. It tells me you appreciate my love.

I hope you won’t get tired of letting me know how much you love me, not only by saying it, but more so by showing it. It tells me you want to be with me.

I hope you won’t get tired of fighting for us, for the love we’ve built throughout the years. It tells me it’s all worth it.

I hope you won’t ever get tired of hearing me say ‘I hope you won’t get tired’. The love that we have is one that’s continued on for so long now that there’s so many things I know I can’t live without anymore.

I can go on and on with my long list of what I hope won’t ever end, but I know it is pointless. Because what the mind hopes for, my heart already knows.

You won’t ever get tired. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
