What happens when the most intelligent people on this planet experience love? They question it. They want to better understand it, explore it and test it.

The random, quirky things you do that you don’t realize are quirky. It may be the way you dress. It may be the way you drink your coffee, organize your pens or the things you say or think. However your quirkiness or oddness shows, he digs it.

You may not be able to control rejection, but you certainly can control the way you mentally and emotionally respond to rejection.

A relationship is little more than a partnership built upon support. Sure, those butterflies that you’re feeling are important, as is the physical chemistry that you share. But there’s nothing more important than the way you two support each other

Don’t get me wrong, heartbreak still hurts. It hurts no matter who you are.

You need to be okay with being alone. You have to accept that you are enough. I understand you want someone in your life. I understand you don’t want to feel alone. But you should be happy when you’re by yourself.

If he isn’t ready to be in a serious relationship, then things won’t work out. End of story. Is your man truly mature enough to be in such a relationship?

Having your heart broken isn’t something you can just shake off — not if the love was real. That’s why so many people’s lives seem to fall apart after they lose the one they loved. The good news is, once you hit rock bottom, that’s when you really get to see what you’re made of.

Be sure that you fully understand your own worth. There’s a reason why the best negotiation tactic in the world is walking away from the table. In this case, it’s not so much about negotiating as it is about helping him realize that you’re with him only because you choose to be.

Lie there. Chat. Cuddle. Engage in a bit of foreplay. Whatever it is, just be with each other. You don’t need to always be doing stuff — you should be able to enjoy each other’s company while doing absolutely nothing.

If your man doesn’t come to you with his problems, then he doesn’t see you as his support. And being each other’s support system is the whole reason why human beings partner up in the first place.

Calling it quits is easier when it was never love. Yet, even then many of us find it difficult to let go. It’s never more difficult, however, than when the person you’re considering giving up on is someone you did love.

The truth is that you can’t miss someone who’s always there — and you want this person to miss you.

I’d say to each his own, but you’ll regret not being capable of appreciating a woman for the right reasons.

You can’t hope that something happens on its own because it won’t. Life doesn’t work that way.

Sometimes, the nicest guys are the shyest. They don’t see themselves as being the aggressive type, so they have a difficult time doing things outside their comfort zones.

But just because he’s never told you that he loves you doesn’t mean that he doesn’t love you.

I may never get over you, but truth be told, I don’t want to get over you. I want this new sort of love I have for you to stay with me. I want it to stay with me as I continue on with my life, as I accomplish my goals, as I find someone new to share my life with.
