I have this belief that everyone we meet in this life serves a purpose to teach us lessons that will make us better people, and when we have discovered this lesson, their purpose is done. 

It was August of 2016 when I booked my flight to Bohol and decided that I’ll give it a try. I tried not to be too excited and hyped up about it so my expectations wouldn’t be much, but from the time I took my seat in that plane, there was nothing I felt except pure bliss.

Stop telling me you’re busy, because I’m done pretending I’m okay with canceled plans. I’m done acting like waiting for you to become available isn’t a big deal.

Papertowns and Looking for Alaska, by John Green, have both made me realize that I’m not the only one feeling lost in this world.

Why can’t you just give me the love I deserve, the way you give it so easily to the others who don’t even believe in you?

Why did you let me like you so much if you weren’t even so sure about me? Why did you even try to make me happy when I didn’t even ask you to? What went wrong along the way that made you decide this isn’t worthy?

Do not let the fear of being alone again, or not finding someone else stop you from being happy. If you know your worth as a person, be brave enough to walk away from pain and know that you will find someone who will know your worth too.

The scenario all seems similar yet different. I meet someone, and then start getting to know them, start spending time with them, and when things are finally hitting off, when it is clear that we both like each other, when I consider that maybe I could take it to another level, I lose them.
