PM of PDA Justin Trudeau Celebrates His One-Year Anniversary with Katy Perry in Saint-Tropez
The couple’s first public date was July 28, 2025, when they walked through Mount Royal Park with Perry’s dog and had dinner at Le Violon in Montreal, reportedly ordering lobster and tuna before moving on to drinks at Taverne Atlantic. That was weeks after her split from Orlando Bloom, her fiancé of nine years and the father of her daughter Daisy, and about two years after Trudeau separated from Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, his wife of 18 years and the mother of his three kids.
Two days after that first outing, Trudeau turned up at her Montreal Lifetimes Tour stop with his daughter Ella-Grace and got filmed singing along to “Firework.” By fall they were kissing on her yacht off Santa Barbara, with sources describing a “supersized attraction” and Trudeau flying to California between tour dates to see her.
They went public on October 25, 2025, stepping out hand in hand after the Crazy Horse cabaret in Paris on Perry’s 41st birthday. In December she posted a Japan carousel with cheek-to-cheek selfies and a clip of them tasting uni together, and former Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida shared a photo of the four of them referring to Perry as Trudeau’s “partner,” which Trudeau reposted.
They hit Coachella together in April. On June 8 they made their red-carpet debut at the Tribeca premiere of her concert film, where she called him “the love of my life” and said the relationship had grounded her after a hard year. Reports around the same time said Trudeau wanted her to spend part of the year at the house he’d just bought in Montreal’s Outremont neighborhood.
Perry is 41; Trudeau, born Christmas Day 1971, is 54. He’s been joining her European festival shows all summer, she’s taken to calling him “Trudaddy” from the stage, and this week they landed in Saint-Tropez for the anniversary.
