Brett Goldstein Is Playing a Divorced Dad Who Accidentally Becomes a Male Escort in His New Prime Video Series

Roy Kent is officially dead. In Brett Goldstein’s next act, he’s Denny, a Manhattan dad whose post-divorce life takes a hard left into paid intimacy.

Prime Video ordered “Escorted” straight to series: 8 half-hour episodes of a romantic comedy about second chances, co-parenting chaos, and “whether real intimacy can ever be bought.”

Goldstein plays Denny, a divorced dad in Manhattan who accidentally becomes a male escort. Lesley Manville plays his mother, and filming is underway around the city.

He’s not just the star. Goldstein writes, executive produces, and co-showruns the series with his “Shrinking” collaborator Brian Gallivan, under his Warner Bros. Television deal with Amazon MGM Studios co-producing.

Goldstein has described it as “a wholesome show about condoms, co-parenting, and cosplay.”

The role is a long way from the gruff-but-lovable Roy Kent on “Ted Lasso,” the character that made him. No premiere date has been set yet.
