Jennifer Garner Spent Ben Affleck’s 54th Birthday at His House with Their Three Kids, Weeks After His Mom Died

This is the same house Jennifer Garner pulled up to on Ben Affleck’s 52nd birthday, and the one where their kids keep landing whenever the family needs to close ranks. Eleven years past their split, showing up on his worst year is just what they do.

Garner was photographed driving to Affleck’s Los Angeles home on August 15, his 54th birthday, weeks after his mother, Chris Anne Affleck, died following a battle with pancreatic cancer. Their three kids, Violet (20), Seraphina (17), and Samuel (14), were part of the low-key gathering.

The two married in a private Caribbean ceremony in June 2005, announced their separation in 2015, and finalized the divorce in October 2018. This year alone they’ve been spotted in matching casual outfits on an LA outing, marked Samuel’s 14th birthday together at a paintball park, and accompanied Violet to urgent care.

Garner made the same stop on Affleck’s 52nd birthday in 2024. In July 2026 interviews promoting The Five Star Weekend, she called him an “incredible co-parent” and “great partner in that way,” and said his reliability with the older kids has given her more career freedom. Affleck has described her as “a really good co-parent and partner.”

The birthday follows the end of his marriage to Jennifer Lopez, who filed for divorce in 2024.
