By

The Catch is a baseball rom-com pitched as Bull Durham meets Notting Hill, with Stone as a fan whose interference at the wall costs her team a key game and turns her into a target.

Chris Pine plays the ballplayer she falls for. Tim Robbins plays her father, Sissy Spacek her aunt, Ashley Padilla her sister, and Druski her bodyguard. Irina Shayk and Chris Fleming round out the cast.

Filming started in July around New York, and the production shot at Citi Field during a Mets-Dodgers series, where Mets star Juan Soto filmed a cameo that included a hug with Stone in the dugout. Universal has the movie set for May 21, 2027.
