Timothée Chalamet Lost His Aura. The Internet Blames Armie Hammer ‘Cannibalism’ And The ‘Kardashian Curse’.

By

The aura gap between Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner has been discourse since they went public in 2023, and the consensus online has quietly flipped. Jenner is the one who reads composed, controlled, and magnetic in every joint photo. Chalamet, in the ruffled harnesses and the backwards visors and the interview bits that land like a theater kid workshopping a character, is the one people have started scoring as dorky, try-hard, and weird in a way that isn’t landing anymore.

That flip is why the Kardashian curse keeps getting dragged back out. The old meme said men who date into the family lose edge and public respect, and the tidy version of the Chalamet story is that Jenner did that to him. The messier version, which is what the replies actually argue, is that the fits and the mannerisms were always like this and Jenner standing next to him just made the contrast visible. She isn’t draining his aura. She’s exposing that the aura was already in need of a lot of work.

Aura farming is the third thread, the idea that Chalamet cultivates the cool-glow on purpose, and it’s the one taking the most damage. Once people decide the glow is a bit, every red carpet becomes evidence, and Jenner, who isn’t performing indie mystique and doesn’t need to, ends up looking like the grounded one in the frame. The fight in the replies is whether he ever had the aura, or whether standing next to someone with actual presence finally gave everyone permission to say it.

Or, and hear us out, the delulu explanation is more fun than “he just got dorky.” His Call Me by Your Name co-star Armie Hammer, whose career imploded in 2021 over cannibalism-fetish DMs, spent a whole summer in Italy with peak-aura 2017 Timothée. What if he ate him? What if the twitchy, harness-wearing, aura-farming version we’ve been watching ever since is the hetero chopped clone left behind? At least we wouldn’t have to blame Kylie.
