Is Margaret Qualley Just Out Here Running Away From A Bad Marriage Or Is It The Set of Her Newest Movie?
Qualley was photographed running and screaming through Jersey City streets on July 22, in character for Parker Finn’s remake of the 1981 cult horror film “Possession.” She plays a woman whose behavior grows increasingly disturbing after she asks her husband for a divorce, with early suspicions of infidelity giving way to something darker.

It’s her first public sighting since her separation from Jack Antonoff, the Bleachers frontman, was announced around July 8. The two married in New Jersey in August 2023 after a 2021 romance and 2022 engagement, so the marriage ran nearly three years.
When cheating rumors swirled around the split, her rep pushed back hard: “The narratives running in the press about Margaret and Jack are categorically untrue. There are no trust issues. There was no infidelity or anything outside of respect and partnership in this relationship. They have deep love and care for one another. There are only two people in this marriage, and the sources who are talking to the press and commenting on their relationship are not people who know them. Please respect their privacy.”
She wore all black across the shots, a soft button-up cardigan over a flowing midi skirt with sheer tights. Isabelle Adjani, who originated the lead role, has endorsed Qualley, noting a “family resemblance” and calling her “incredibly talented.”
Finn (of “Smile” and “Smile 2”) is writing and directing for Paramount, with Robert Pattinson producing. Qualley stars opposite Callum Turner, alongside Paul Dano and Diego Calva. Insiders say she’s “the happiest when she’s working” and “looking ahead and focusing on what’s next,” with “The Dog Stars” due August 28.
