Aaron and Sam Taylor-Johnson Still Can’t Keep Their Hands Off Each Other, 14 Years into Their Marriage

By

The couple got caught sharing a kiss in the stands at Wimbledon this month, sneaking in a little PDA between matches. Their two daughters came along for what was a rare full-family outing.

Aaron and Sam met in 2009 when she directed him in Nowhere Boy. They married in 2012, he took her surname, and they’ve been together ever since. The 23-year age difference has been a public talking point for years, but at the All England Club it was just a married couple who still can’t quite keep it together in public.

Sam Taylor-Johnson is a British filmmaker and artist who directed Nowhere Boy, the 2009 John Lennon biopic. Aaron Taylor-Johnson, 18 at the time, was cast as the young Lennon. She was in her early 40s.

They got engaged not long after and married in 2012. He took her surname and she took his, so they both landed on Taylor-Johnson. Two daughters and more than a decade later, they’re still one of the more low-drama couples in the business.

The roughly 23-year age difference has followed them through every red carpet and interview since they got together. At Wimbledon, none of that was the story. It was two people who’ve been married 14 years, out with their kids, sneaking a kiss between matches.
