Keke Palmer Was Asked About Sean Evans Dating Rumors. She Answered “One Wing At A Time.”

Keke Palmer has never been one to give a straight answer when a fun one is available, and she proved it again at Cannes Lions.

During Spotify’s “Conversations That Channel Culture” panel on Tuesday, host Jay Shetty asked the 32-year-old actress and podcaster whether she was serious about Sean Evans, the longtime host and producer of “Hot Ones,” the YouTube show where guests answer questions over increasingly spicy wings.

The rumors kicked off after Palmer and Evans, who’s about 40, were spotted having a long dinner at Lucali, a beloved Italian spot in Brooklyn, on June 12. Onlookers described the two as “locked in” on each other, with Evans appearing smitten. No PDA, just what outlets are calling an apparent dinner date.

But the two go way back. Palmer first appeared as a guest on “Hot Ones” in 2017, and over the years they’ve racked up plenty of flirty on-camera moments, including a kiss on a later episode. They recently bantered again on her podcast, “Baby, This Is Keke Palmer.”

So when Shetty pressed, she leaned all the way into the bit. She didn’t confirm they’re dating, but she didn’t shut it down either. “Oh, we’re talking about this? First of all, I love Sean Evans. I love Sean. Hey, Sean! That’s my guy. We’re hanging out, you know what I mean? You never know what could arise from there,” she said. Then she told Shetty they’re taking things “day by day, one wing at a time, so to speak.”

For a guy who built a career on spicy wings, that might be the most fitting non-answer she could have given.
