Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Although some of you aren’t a big fan of breakfast and skip this meal, I love breakfast. The only thing that can get me out of bed in the morning is a good breakfast. It’s where you get your energy for the day so you can function properly and be happy and healthy human being.

Many people prefer different food during breakfast. Maybe a risotto patty with prosciutto and egg for people who like their breakfast a little bit fancy or leftover Chinese take-out from the day before for someone who’s lazy to cook in the mornings. Whether it’s a gourmet breakfast or frozen pizza from last night, there will always be those foods everyone has to eat for breakfast once in a while. Here are 9 breakfasts that you’ll never get tired of eating:

1. Cereals

Cereals are everything. They can literally be breakfast, lunch and dinner. One good thing about cereals is that there are a bunch to choose from. There are healthy cereals, chocolate cereals and cereals with tiny marshmallows, which are the best ones. You can even mix them up to see what the combinations taste like. Raisin Bran + Corn Flakes? Not such a good idea. Another good thing is that cereals are a healthy breakfast. The combination of cereals and milk is just so yummy.

2. Bacon And Eggs

Who doesn’t like bacon and eggs? This typical breakfast has probably been served in every household. The crispiness of the bacon plus the saltiness of the eggs are just divine.

3. Toast

Butter on toast, French toast, toast with ham and egg; toast can literally be eaten with anything or just by itself. Toast is one of those on-the-go breakfasts. You just pop a pair in the toaster for a few minutes then, ping! Grab ’em and go.

4. Pop Tarts

This is what I call a “Student’s Breakfast”. Many kids these days skip breakfast for reasons such as they’re late for school or they don’t feel like eating that much. So they just grab a pop tart, pop one in the oven toaster or eat it as it is, then they’re headed straight for school. A pop tart is a light breakfast that comes in so many delicious flavors like chocolate chip, s’mores, and cinnamon just to name a few.

5. Fruits And Yogurt

This breakfast is usually for those who are on a diet. Maybe after you’ve had your morning run, you can grab a cup of yogurt or mix a bowl of fruits. This breakfast is refreshing, healthy and delicious at the same time. It may be a light breakfast, but the health benefits are worth it.

6. Pancakes

Those fluffy, soft, delicious pancakes covered in butter and maple syrup are absolutely hard to resist. Pancakes are a crowd favorite. Everyone loves pancakes. Pancakes are delicious, even on its own. But the magic starts to happen when you begin to add that drizzle of maple syrup, or that sprinkle of chocolate chips or blueberries, or that scoop of vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup. Pancakes are the best.

7. Oatmeal

Nothing says “good morning” like a warm bowl of oatmeal. The creaminess and heat of the oatmeal just warms my insides when getting a bite. You can pair oatmeal up with fruits, nuts or yogurt. Oatmeal is a healthy breakfast and it is a great source of calcium.

8. Baked Goods

Pastries smell so delicious, and they taste even better, especially when served warm. From croissants, to muffins, to French bread, to danish, to anything you can find at a bakery. But home baked treats are even better. You can either bake a batch of chocolate chip cookies to start off your day or you can bake half a dozen blueberry muffins and save some for later. Cupcakes are also a delicious treat in the mornings because who doesn’t love icing?

9. Breakfast Drinks

There are 2 types of people in the morning: the eaters and the drinkers. The eaters eat typical breakfast food and go on with their lives, while drinkers like to take their time, enjoying a moment to themselves, sipping on their cups or mugs. These breakfast drinks usually include coffee, hot cocoa, smoothies and tea. Coffee is usually for the people who are on-the-go and need their daily boost.

Coffee comes in so many different flavors, that’s why there are so many coffee addicts going to Starbucks at 6 in the morning ordering espresso shots. Tea is for those people who like to sit in peace and relax while sipping something that tastes like water and leaves. Smoothies are for those early risers who exercise and have a healthy diet to maintain. Hot Cocoa is usually for those people who enjoy the warmth the morning gives you. Just remember that hot cocoa should always be served with marshmallows since, everybody loves marshmallows. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
