I hope you know that you are deserving of someone who cares.

It’s ok to say that I want to pick you, to choose you every day, to make a promise that it’s just you and me in this relationship.

Those who love you will tell you that time will heal all things.

It reminds us that nobody has it all figured out.

Be the one who listens to the voices around you. Be the one who lets people talk.

Sometimes, choosing joy takes discipline. And constant reminders. And acknowledging the despair that is coursing through your veins, so that you can climb your way back to joy.

I hope you make sure that no matter what words you choose – they are all framed by, and with, love.

It’s ok to own your excellence.

I hope you let yourself feel your pain.

I hope you look up at the sky and take in all the blue.

Your softness is beautiful. It’s raw, it’s unassuming, it’s imperfect. It sees and seeks the beauty and the best in other souls, even when it’s not easy.

Colors flashed before my eyes. Bright, bold, beautiful colors, messy and bleeding into one another, until all at once they came into focus. And then they became the most beautiful images I had ever seen.

The key is you get to decide what you’re consuming. You also get to decide what you are posting — which perhaps is the biggest responsibility of all.

Here’s to the friends who say words of encouragement as many times as you need to hear it. They’ll continue to repeat themselves until you start to believe it. 

Having a bottle of wine and then some cocktails is not going to end pretty for you or anyone around you.

I hope you see that hustle doesn’t equate to happiness.

You’re not breaking a promise if you set it down – you’re learning how to live again.
