I Could Have Walked Away, But You’ve Always Been My Favorite Temptation
I kissed you as you pressed your perfect body close to mine and I could have walked away; I almost walked away,
By Max Mundan
I kissed you as you pressed
your perfect body close to mine
and I could have walked away;
I almost walked away,
cause I had someone I belonged to
but could never love
waiting at home.
I didn’t want to break her heart:
she didn’t deserve that.
So I could have walked away;
I almost walked away,
until I saw my life, flashing
before my eyes and I knew,
I would remember this moment.
I wanted to hold you, to tell you
it was destiny, you and I,
but I could have walked away;
I almost walked away;
I started to walk away,
till I began to imagine how a life
without you might have looked.
I could go home, to what’s safe,
to the dull, set routine.
I could just walk away;
I almost walked away,
but I knew
that I needed to touch you,
to woo you, to take you in my arms,
to love you, like I’ve never loved before,
with every part of me and every
drop of passion in my soul,
till our lips meet and our eyes
lock and our hearts
become one.
I could have walked away;
I almost walked away,
but instead,
I turned back
and walked to you.
