I hope when you think about all the people I could have been kissing ever since you left, your gut twists as though you’ve swallowed a bowlful of worms. I hope you stare at your ceiling at night thinking, “Damn.”

After all, it wasn’t as if you love him already. You’re just considering the prospect of falling in love with him in the future. It was a lovely dream. Now, it couldn’t be anything more.
