I deserved better, but I wanted that to be you.

You will feel grief far beyond the initial moments after someone you love dies. 

Living a semi-normal life when you are unwell takes all your energy. 

I wasn’t prepared for what my seizure episodes would be like; I got no warning. 

There is beauty in rock bottom.

I think it’s the warmth you bring when you look at me. My heart swells with every look or touch.

Heaven gets the one person that I never thought I’d have to learn to live without, and it is so lucky for that. Any person or place that gets to have you is the absolute luckiest in the world. 

It’s okay to not be over something so quickly. It’s okay to allow yourself valid, legitimate time to heal.

Being sad doesn’t mean you’re broken. It doesn’t mean you’ll never feel happiness again.

Once I find love, my mind picks it apart.

You have the kindest heart and you always make me feel safe even when my world is crashing down. 

I appear to be fine, functional, yet I am the absolute opposite of that. 

Thank you for showing up, for not letting me down like all the others have. Thank you for dealing with my sarcasm and the times I poke you a bunch just to get your attention. Thank you for being you.

Love is hard.

He only told me after hitting me or when he was drunk. Only when he thought he could lose me. Only when he wouldn’t remember.
