I will choose you, even in the doubt. Even in the moments we both hesitate, wondering whether this is love. I will accept that we are flawed and imperfect, and still I will love you anyway.

Maybe the truth about love is not so much that you need to know whether it’s for certain, but you have to willingly, fearlessly, unquestioningly believe in it.

You have to understand that sometimes you can do everything in your power to make something happen, and it’s just not meant to be. You can give yourself to a person, to a circumstance, to a situation, and end up empty, simply because it wasn’t meant for you.

You can’t just listen to someone’s pain, you want to actively help, support, or assist in some way.

God, show me that in every season, good or bad, you are my loving God. And help me to seek you more.

When you’re working on something, you can (and often will) lose all sense of time.

There are people who love you, simply because you are you.

They will ensure you never go through pain alone.

Because love is beautiful when you let go, when you stop clouding it with the past, when you allow it to bloom and grow and become whatever it’s meant to, without holding it back.

always tasted like both freedom
and familiarity and how your hands
carved new beginnings into my skin.

I’m only interested in the love that is permanent. In the kind of love that knows there are other paths, other routes, and exit signs at every turn, and yet, stays on the path, trusts the road ahead.

To the way you showed me what real love is, because even now, I forget.
