How You Know You’ve Found ‘The One’
The One will feel like home. Their arms will welcome you into their heart, and their love will heal your brokenness and give you hope, and you’ll never want to let go.
All my life I wondered how people can be sure that the person they’re with is really “The One.” How do you know that that person is the one you’re meant to spend forever with? I wondered until one day, I just knew.
And it turns out it’s true when they say, “You just know.”
The One will not only support your dreams and endeavors, they will push you to achieve them, and understand when they change.
The One will challenge you to step out of your comfort zone when you are getting in your own way.
The One will make sure see the future in a way you never could before. They will open your eyes to possibilities you never imagined and fulfill desires you never knew you had.
The One will care for you in the ways that you don’t care for yourself. If you forget to eat because you’re running around and crazy busy, they will make sure you have lunch and you’ll realize just how famished you were.
The One will be gentle with your vulnerability. They know that it is a gift when you choose to open up and they make sure that they don’t take that for granted.
The One will fight with you and fight even harder for you.
The One won’t be perfect. They will make mistakes and allow for you to make mistakes too. But they will fit into your heart so perfectly that you won’t know how you ever got along without them.
The One will stick around for the struggles because they know that in the end you will come out stronger than you were before.
The One will make you so thankful for the people who never worked out in the past because without them, you wouldn’t be able to fully appreciate this person’s greatness.
The One will allow you to be your absolute true self; whether you’re weird and goofy, or hangry and mean, they will still love you.
The One will feel like home. Their arms will welcome you into their heart, and their love will heal your brokenness and give you hope, and you’ll never want to let go.
When you finally find “The One,” you just know.
