They say that actions speak louder than words, but we are actionless.
Does that mean we are screaming?

I’ve tried to write poems, novels, short pieces, song lyrics
but they are either too short or not long enough.
How can a person accurately describe the feeling of their entire body
being consumed by another being, a feeling of wholesomeness?

There were moments in life
that deep in my soul,
I knew something was going to radically change
the path I was bound to take
and I wanted those moments etched into my skin.

Some would say it was catching up,
but it was like saying hello again
because every time we drove the California freeway
in your car
it was like being home again.

It isn’t right to meet someone
knowing the way you met them
will be the way you destruct them.

I feel pain in my liver
because last night, I drank a fourth a bottle
of tequila.
They say tequila makes a person’s clothes fall off
and I wanted to know if I could feel that way
with someone other than you.

You don’t know anything about me. Yet you say you love me.

Life is about experiences, not checking off certain criteria society has made for us that is considered a “well lived life.” People are placed in our lives to teach us, to help us grow, and to live life with us. We are meant to love many people and to love them fully. Some of us will love many people and some of us may only love a few. Whoever we choose to spend our time with, we should spend it in the moment, not spend it wondering if that moment is going to lead to marriage.

You may be confused about your last year of college. You’ll be confused because you thought the last year of college was supposed to define you, not break you apart. That’s ok.

Learning another language will take you farther than any sort of college degree might.

At some point, you must forgive yourself. It won’t be easy. It’s easier to forgive others. But with ourselves, we never forget. We know what that pain felt like and we know how it still feels. But you must.

Nowadays, it’s easy to make a name for your self (good or bad), and it’s easy to work for yourself. The question is, how does one go about doing that? Where do you start?
