Nobody wants this to be part of our new normal, but until laws are created to actively protect students and keep assault rifles away from civilians it will keep happening. We fall victim to the same cycle even though we know the way to break it. 

Sadly, there’s no way to bridge the gap between fantasy and reality. When you build unrealistic expectations, there’s no logical way to make sense of it. 

I wanted our friendship to heal because I wasn’t ready to let it go. We fell out of friendship, despite being family.

I have this strange theory that every seven years we become new versions of ourselves. It’s unsupported by any actual scientific data, but I enjoy entertaining this idea.

Ah, the Irish goodbye. In polite society it’s wrong, but I reject that notion.
