How To Define Yourself In The Face Of Struggles
You are more than what others think of you or the decisions you choose, because only you can make those for yourself.

You are the sum of your learned experiences, but you are not the product of whoever and whatever has hurt you. Refuse to define yourself by the words that cut deep, the actions that showed true colours, and all the misunderstandings, heartbreaks, and letdowns.
You are not defined by what happened to you. You are the courageous person that stood up to the storms and refused to be torn down by the wind. You are greater than the ones who walked away with you needed them most, the ones that promised to be there and weren’t, and the ones that hurt you and made you feel small.
You are more than the ones who tried to steal your power, the ones who looked down upon you because they were too afraid to acknowledge your strengths. You are more than the ones who tried to silence your voice, because your words of truth threatened them. Instead, you are resilient because you looked at your struggles straight in the eye, and faced them headfirst.
You are not defined by rejections and failures. Accept them gracefully, reflect upon them, and turn those lessons into your personal strengths. You are more than what others think of you or the decisions you choose, because only you can make those for yourself.
You are not defined by anyone else, but by you only. No one can take that away from you. No one has the authority to change your kind spirit, overwrite your personal opinions, or control your emotions. You are always capable of caring deeply, giving back selflessly, and loving yourself and others bravely. Take back your identity, and take charge.
When you breathe in and at last feel like you are becoming who you truly want to be, that is the most fulfilling feeling in the world.
