I want you to know that my heart is yours to take if yours can’t work as hard anymore. And I want you to know, that I will do everything in my power to hold your heart in the light when you can’t find your flashlight in the dark.

Don’t give up on the possibilities of love. You are going to find it one day, I promise. And when you do, you’ll know that love was never your enemy after all. Love was just a friend trying to show you how strong your heart could be and how much love you already had inside of you.

Love is nothing short of a miracle. And just because I haven’t found that miraculous connection yet, doesn’t mean I can’t celebrate other peoples’ miracles.

Unlike love, donuts are remarkably easy to find. So, if you crave some intimacy with a good old fashioned donut, you won’t need to use Tinder.

So, when the one who broke your heart comes crawling back to you, don’t let him in. Don’t give him the power to break you apart again. Don’t slip up. And don’t kiss him for the last time.

Throw wine and cheese parties at least once a month to make your friends think you make enough money to actually afford decent cheese (In reality, it’s actually just cut up pieces of string cheese.)

To the boys who have played me, thank you for teaching me that I am worth more than you will ever be.

F*** the notion that you need another human being to be your savior. You have your own precious and beautiful self. I promise you, that’s all you need. You just need you.

Am I surrounding myself with people who leave me feeling happy or leave me feeling sad?
