11 Things People Don’t Realize You’re Doing Because You’re Compulsively Indecisive
You're a follower, not a leader. You don't like being the type of person that people follow, or take orders from. You like to go with the flow and follow suit what everyone else is doing.
1. You’re late to everything.
In your friend group, you are known as the ‘flake’ or the ‘late one’. You are never on time to anything because of how much preparation you have to do before an event. It takes hours for you to even decide if you want to go somewhere, never mind getting ready for it.
2. Getting dressed to you is like running a marathon.
No matter how many clothes you have in your closet, or how many new clothes you just bought, choosing an outfit for you is a chore. You try on multiple outfits in just a day, and you’re never happy with the end result.
3. You’re a perfectionist.
You’re a perfectionist in everything that you do. In your career, in your personal life, and in your friendships. You adore to be in control at all times, and you despise being out of the loop with literally anything.
4. Ordering food makes you incredibly anxious.
You’re always the last to order, and you make it a point to see what other people at your table have gotten. You always make sure to be incredibly careful with your order, because it’s one of your worst nightmares to be disappointed in your decisions.
5. You’re a follower, not a leader.
You don’t like being the type of person that people follow, or take orders from. You like to go with the flow and follow suit what everyone else is doing. It makes you anxious to be the one to make a decision, even if it’s something simple like deciding where your co-workers should go to lunch.
6. You never make a decision before getting other people’s opinions.
You never, and I mean never, make a decision before getting other peoples input and opinions. You always are so detail orientated when it comes to making tough choices, and you would never dare to mess anything up. You always ask a million questions to your loved ones, before making a final decision.
7. You usually regret the choices you make.
Even if you ask for other people’s suggestions and opinions, you’re rarely happy with the decisions that you make. Whether it’s a career change, or a break up, you always look back on your past and wish desperately that you could change it.
8. You’re a skilled list maker.
Lists are your best friends, and you make it for everything in your life no matter how minuscule it may seem. You make shopping lists, pro and con lists at least once a day, always making sure that your life is heading in the right direction.
9. After making a decision, you usually can’t stop fretting about it.
After biting the bullet and finally choosing to move to New York City, or to quit your job, you’re an anxious mess. You talk to everyone that you know, asking if they think you made a mistake or if you chose the wrong path to walk on. You’re so afraid of regret, sometimes it feels like it is all consuming.
10. Life altering decisions make you want to hibernate forever.
You despise any type of decision that could change your life forever. You honestly would rather have your best friend choose for you, because at least then, you wouldn’t have to be consumed in self-hatred and regret.
11. You immediately tense up when faced with a decision, no matter how big or small.
Decisions make you tense and uneasy. They make you want to run away from your life, and just forget it ever happened. You never want to alter your life into something that you hate, so you’d honestly rather not make a decision at all. Ever.
