Over the course of our lifetime, love will land on our doorstep in all shades and measures.

Love is forgiveness.

I don’t imagine for one second anyone or anything passes through this life unscathed. We all come away with those lessons that don’t come cheap.

So much of our time is spent analyzing parts of our existence that have become nothing more than wreckage upon a shore. Things that can never be undone. Things that are only holding us back.

Life is always more interesting when you expect the unexpected.

Yesterday I spent a few hours visiting with my father. He’s 94 and still in good shape, considering, and since he doesn’t live too far away, I try to see him when I can.

My sister and I shared more than parentage. We shared a history of moments.
