Love is the thing we live for, die for, and fight for. We can’t always explain it, and we aren’t always good at it, but we crave it none the less. We were made to love and be loved.

I’m sorry that when things like this happen the immediate response, from both your diehard fans and others, is usually an overwhelming, “Can’t wait to hear your new music!”

One thing is certain: If you can’t handle the parts of her that bother you, then you need to end it right now.

I don’t really look back at you as an honest heartbreak-maybe more like a bruise. It can sting when I think about how things ended so vaguely and open ended.

When your heart breaks, the aftermath can do so many things to you. It can make you scared. Vulnerable. Reckless. It can also make you strong, resilient, and wise.

As long as we live in a world with other options, choices, experiences, and people, there will always be a reason to leave. And he’s going to take it every single time.

Dating casually wasn’t trying to teach me about love: it was trying to teach me about fun, about confidence, about endless choices. It did its job, because I did have fun.

I hate to tell you this: Life doesn’t give us a roadmap.

I wonder if I have ever crossed your mind, if you’ve ever thought about me, ever thought about reaching out to me, and then stopped because you know better. Or have you simply forgotten I exist, blocking me from your mind completely?

Sometimes, when we look back, we can see that paths we did choose were taken a poor time in our lives. We wish we could restart and try that path again.

The phrase “I’m an adult, I can do whatever I want” makes you want to laugh. And cry. And scream.
