Everyone Should Be Dating Exactly Like This
Let’s be real, dating is exhausting. The countless days of having the same introduction conversations over and over again:
“So what do you do?”
“What are your hobbies?”
“What’s your favorite (fill in the blank)”
You meet all these people for what purpose?
The chance to never hear back again is one option (“ghosted” as they say nowadays). The chance to fall in love and find your potential partner is the other option. Some dates will bring out insecurities, and other dates will bring the best out of you.
You have to be honest with yourself while dating.
Are you dating for fun because you’re bored or are you dating to fall in love?
It’s best to be upfront with what you want the outcome to be when choosing to go on these dates. Be direct with that person so that they know what to expect. If you want to just have fun and be casual, then so be it. But, don’t lead someone on because you never really know if the other person is dating to fall in love. Dating shouldn’t be a guessing game. It should be open, honest communication on what you want. If you’re bored then pick up a hobby, don’t be messing around with someone’s emotions because dating is exhausting for those that want to find love.
Day in and day out you put a little piece of you on the table. You open up about your childhood, your relationship with your family, stories about your friends, etc. These are pieces of you that you’re sharing with other people. Of course, that’s tiring because you’d rather share these pieces of you with one specific person who will cherish them and not just a random person that’ll probably forget all about it in the next week or so.
So love carefully, and date wisely. Not everyone is worth your time and energy.
Put your heart on the table for those that are worth it. Dating is a crazy rollercoaster that’ll make you feel your highs, lows, and sometimes even spiraling upside down with the adrenaline rush hoping that it’ll end soon. You go back in line because you find it fun and then you get sick of it after a while. But once you find a designated riding buddy, you can go on forever.
Date to fall in love. Date to have fun. Whichever you choose, always be honest with yourself and be sure that you’re ready for that.
One day you won’t have to introduce yourself again. So enjoy the ride.
Good luck with your future dates.
