Have you ever come across a person who is emotionally unstable? Someone who is afraid to be committed to anything, or anyone at all? Someone you can call strong for not being easily attached to people, but somehow weak because as soon as something goes wrong, they are out the door?

And yet, they are the best people to fall in love with. It may seem hard at first, but nothing in life comes easy.

They are afraid to commit maybe because they have been hurt in the past, or maybe because they have watched the people they care about get hurt because of love. They are terrified that, because they do not sugarcoat the fact that not everything lasts, that not everything goes the way they will want it to.

But when you fall in love with someone who is emotionally unstable, I promise you that they will do everything they can muster to make you feel loved. They will try their hardest to change the perspective they have longed kept intact. They will believe again because they know you are worth it.

They will make you feel like you are here in this world for a reason. And this what it is like to be loved by someone who is an emotionally unstable person.

They will answer the question about why you have never been good enough for someone else. They will answer every question that has been stuck inside your head:

“Am I hard to love?”

“Why does everyone leave?”

“Is there anyone out there for me?”

When you fall in love with them, you will find the answers. When you fall in love with them, you will not regret it. When you fall in love with them, they will love you back seven times more than you love them.

They will try to take care of your heart as they have taken care of theirs. Just the way they built walls around their hearts, so no one would come close to hurting them, they will put walls around yours, too. They will take care of you.

They will try to fix you, and they will teach you how to fly.

They are only afraid now because they know what it feels like to cry in the middle of the night while everyone sleeps. They know what it feels like to walk in the rain alone. They know what it feels like to fix what someone else broke.

So be strong and wait for them to unfold.

Remember the gifts under the tree you were so excited to open every Christmas morning as a child? Remember the butterflies flying around inside your stomach every time you see your crush in first grade? Remember hearing the approaching footsteps of your mom with your favorite cookies in her hand? Remember the freedom you felt right after you graduated?

Imagine feeling that all at once.

That is how it will feels like when you fall in love with someone who is emotionally unstable.
