Hate To Break It To You But You Don’t Deserve To Fall In Love
Too many people get caught up, sad and depressed thinking, “I deserve to fall in love.” I’m sorry but it’s just not true. I hate to break it to you, but you don’t deserve to fall in love.
Love is great. Finding a person is great. But nobody is more deserving of love than the next person. And horrible people fall in love. So being deserving of love? I don’t believe it.
You deserve a great life. You deserve to be with someone who makes you happy. But stop focusing on finding a love. What’s meant to be, will be. You’re not entitled to love. Just like you’re not entitled to anything else in life.
Sure, some people may get lucky or find someone while they’re young, but don’t settle to fall in love. We often develop complexes when we see other people our age moving ahead in life. In our mid 20s- early 30s almost everyone seems to be engaged, married, having babies. We try to measure ourselves up to them, and if we’re not where we thought we would be we deem ourselves a failure. We think, “I’m great, and I deserve love.” But when you determine your worth based on love, you lose yourself.
Not all of us need to be married by 28. Sometimes you fall in love with the idea of love. In today’s twisted dating society, we play games. We like being chased or chasing someone else. Do you really want that person? Or do you just like the game? And the idea of that person. We all follow our own paths and you just need to trust it. Trust the journey.
You deserve happiness. But stop acting like you’re entitled to love. Like you deserve it.
Instead, fall in love with those around you. Fall in love with waking up every day. Be so immersed in your life that you stop focusing on finding a love. Because when that happens, love will come to you.
If you’re a good person, you deserve the world. But love? Love will come when it comes. And wouldn’t you rather wait for the right one, then settle for the wrong one? Fall in love with your life, not the idea of love.
