Stop asking me if I’m from a continent.

Some people can’t be alone. They just can’t. In some minds, it is better to settle than to be alone.

Beyond the dogma of the Church, for any devout Catholic, there are also the complexities of experiencing everyday life as a person of faith.

You have realized that life is much bigger than those moments in time when you think that someone’s affection is the most important thing to have.

This is also true in the working life. Think of how many people you know that say, “I hate my job.”

Recognize that 99.9% of the people who read what you write, don’t really know you. So whatever they have to say about who you are and who you are not, is baseless.

Intelligence is sexy but trying too hard to sound intelligent is not. Yeah buddy I’ve read Foucault too but you quoting him every five minutes is unattractive.

I want to be married and have many children, all the while maintaining my identities as child of God, a daughter, a sister, and a good friend.

Shopping can be a relaxing experience especially when you’re not on a time crunch or have to be considerate of someone else’s whims. You get to decide how long you’re out, and which stores you want to visit, and try on as many clothes as you want.

We hurt each other so much with our words and actions and inaction, and of course we hurt ourselves. But some of us learn to deal with this reality of life, we learn to fight through our brokenness

Education should teach us more than the rules and regulations of becoming a productive worker.

If you are single, learn to see it as a blessing because it is for many reasons, but especially because if a relationship is what you want, you’ve done the hard work of making yourself happy already.
