‘Little Women’ Is Headed For Television (And A Dystopian Reality)
We’ve seen Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women adapted many times over the years but when the CW brings it to the small screen fans of the beloved book may want to brace themselves for a few changes to the storyline.
Written by Alexis Jolly and executive produced by NCIS’s Michael Weatherly, the series is currently in development and described as a “hyper-stylized, gritty adaptation.” The TV show will be a modern take on the classic story from 1868.
Set in Philadelphia, the four sisters Meg, Amy, Jo, and Beth will “band together in order to survive the dystopic streets of Philadelphia and unravel a conspiracy that stretches far beyond anything they have ever imagined—all while trying not to kill each other in the process.”
The new plotline could be interesting or it could possibly ruin one of most loved books of all time. Here’s hoping the show sticks to some of the same elements as the book.
