The reality is that he is gone, whether I like it or not. He has more than just gone; he is already someone else’s.

I woke up in a blissful state, a peaceful place. I woke up this morning in a bed that only belongs to me. I woke up to a life that is only mine.

Here’s to the girl who smiles throughout the day, yet cries herself to sleep. The type of girl who doesn’t think she’s enough. Pretty enough. Smart enough. Good enough.

Rejection sucks. Disappointment sucks.  Dating sucks. Lying and cheating suck. Loneliness sucks. Heartbreak really sucks. Love does not suck.

Laugh at his jokes, even if they are not funny. Love him even when he is not very lovable.

You changed me. Morphing me into the person who I never had the courage to become on my own. Inspiring me to become the best version of myself.

But the truth is, I don’t want to forget about you. I don’t want to replace you. I want you. It’s as plain and simple as that.

Her family and friends come first. In no way does she feel lonely or unloved; she’s surrounded by loads of people who truly love her.

Together, we will become better version of our already established selves.
