Know that in a relationship, there is nothing wrong with making yourself a priority.

You are not alone because God is always with you.

We cannot force another to want us, to choose us, to love us. Life doesn’t work that way, and honestly, that sucks.

You’re in love with someone who wants so badly to be intimate with you, and yet you struggle in allowing yourself to open up because you feel insecure.

She doesn’t want everything to be a struggle, she doesn’t want to always have to be stoic, she doesn’t want to hide or stifle her emotions.

But to all those who try to make us feel less than, to those who choose to never recognize our value, a toast: “Here’s to you, here’s to me. May we never disagree. But if we do, hell with you. Here’s to me…”

Relationships should be a cohesive unit. A circle. When you start to stretch that out on one side, you lose the curve, you add the points, you create a triangle, and you lose fluidity. 

This is for you on the days you feel worthless…because you definitely are not.

It’s too bad you couldn’t end a relationship you were unhappy in just so you didn’t disappoint someone else.

I believe in a love that is protective and respectful. I want to know that a man always has my back as I have his.

I don’t think you know how confusing you are…or maybe you do.

This is me letting you go. This is me understanding that you’re not the one for me.

Well, I refuse to be one of those girls, the girls who strive for perfection, the girls who need to validate themselves by what others think of them instead of working through their insecurities. 

Ideally, we all want a quality partner we can trust, a man that has similar faith foundations as us, a man with integrity, a man with whom there are no red flags.

If a woman wants you, you will know. If a woman wants you, you won’t have to chase her. A woman wants to be pursued, she wants to be courted.

Respect yourself enough to know your worth and not accept less than you deserve. 

It started with bourbon in my coffee…which made me feel incredibly adult-like, cool and collected, even though I was nervous.

I pray politicians can work together, come to a decision and implement new policies immediately so this doesn’t happen again.
