Dear God, I Feel Broken, But I Trust You Will Restore Me

This prayer reminds us that God can restore and strengthen us, as written by Karin Hadadan. Harmonizing with this theme, Rebecca Simon’s Finding God Every Day invites readers to trust God’s healing, grace, and purpose through seasons of pain. Read on and find hope in His restoration today.

When we experience seasons that leave us feeling broken, tired, and emotionally worn down, the pain can sometimes feel like more than the heart can hold. Just remember, this season is only temporary, and the hurt you’re carrying will not last forever. Come, join me in this prayer.

Grow in hope, healing, and spiritual strength. Let this book guide you.

Dear God,

I trust that my current pain and suffering are only temporary in Your timeline and that everything I’m currently experiencing will one day be alchemized into something good.

That said, a part of me feels broken and questions whether I will ever get out of the darkness I am in, so please help restore the parts of me that need mending, and help me see this suffering through Your eternal perspective. I know You will provide me the strength and resilience to endure this season, knowing that restoration is coming.

Thank You for calling me into eternal glory despite my current struggles, and for choosing me to experience this pain so that I can be the one who brings more light into this world because of it. Help me remember that You, the God of all grace, will yourself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish me after I have suffered a little while.

Amen.
