Dana White Says He “Hates That Kind Of Nonsense” After Josh Hokit Used His Post-Fight Interview to Call Michelle Obama a Man
Dana White texted TIME’s Sean Gregory that he understands the Obamas are public figures, but he’s “completely against saying nasty and false things about people’s families.” He added, “Everyone knows my position on free speech, but I hate that kind of nonsense.”

The line came at the end of Josh Hokit’s post-fight interview with Joe Rogan on June 14. Hokit, who fights as “The Incredible Hok,” had just knocked out heavyweight Derrick Lewis in the third round. He thanked Trump for “having the balls” to put the event on, shouted out “my Lord and saviour Jesus Christ,” called out Alex Pereira, and closed with “Michelle Obama is a man. Am I right, America?”

Trump was in the front row. CNN reported he “appeared to show a faint smile.” Clips circulating online catch some of the crowd laughing and others looking stunned.

The room was stacked with senior Republican officials. FCC Chair Brendan Carr, House Speaker Mike Johnson, and Senate Majority Leader John Thune were all in attendance at UFC Freedom 250, per The Hill.
