I hope you love your children no matter what.

I was convinced I would be the ultra hip mom who let her son be whoever he was and not try to force “boyish” things on him like trucks and sports. But as it has turned out for me, boys have proven to be almost exactly like the warnings I received.

Becoming a mother, for me, has not been a natural process.

Sometimes, I find myself staring at my boys thinking, “I wonder what they were like when they were younger?”

As a child, anyone can be your friend.

I wouldn’t say I was an extreme girly girl before having two children, but I would say that I at least enjoyed wearing make-up, dressing up, and putting some jewelry on. Now I feel like I will have to take some kind of make-up application course after my boys are grown.

As he grew, so did his defiance.

As your arrival into this world got closer, I began making my rounds. I got together with aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and anyone else I could think of to reminisce about all the fun times.

My son was on the edge of his seat during each one of these scenes.

It’s the little things.

How do my kids see me? That’s hard to say.
