Oslo, Norway — Recognizing her contribution to the world, Barnstable Academy senior Margaret Alston was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize after she got back from Nicaragua on Tuesday morning. According to the mission she worked with in building the one story, one room building, over the course of eight weeks, Alston was able to place cinder blocks into place with the help of two other people. “Margaret’s cool,” fellow senior John MacAlister IV said, adding that the spunky 18-year-old “also wasn’t looking to date anyone at the moment,” and that “she’s got great legs.” Alston’s Facebook updates revealed her sporadic network coverage and the bug bites she received in Nicaragua. One of her statuses read, “I HATE HUMIDITY.” This got 12 likes. According to officials, what placed Alston above the rest was her Facebook profile picture of her posing with Nicaraguan children with a cement backdrop. “Her caption really sealed it for us,” an official commented. “We really enjoyed how she had a 100 photo album of trees and foliage.” He asked not to be named.
