God Doesn’t Care About Your Past Mistakes

By

It’s time to forget about where you’ve been, what you’ve done, and who you used to be. God doesn’t care about your failures, mistakes, or even you mishaps. God is focused on where you’re going, what you’re going to do, and who you’re becoming through Him.

There are many things in life we can dwell on and stress over, but I recommend your past not one of them. Sometimes we forget that we are gifted with grace, granted a second chance, and swimming in a sea of forgiveness. It’s almost as if we ignore the gift that is being held out in front of us. Or, maybe we just aren’t educated enough.

Many scholars have said that one of the most important events in Judaic history apart from the life, death and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth is the conversion to Christianity of the Apostle Paul. Before becoming a follower of Christ, Paul himself was persecuting Christians before he was one. The grace and forgiveness of Christ was more than enough to cover his faults and vile actions. (Acts 9:1-19)

Take a deep breath and realize that your past has been forgiven, made clean, and paved with tons of grace. Nothing you have done, or will do can keep you from finding freedom in the arms of Jesus.

Don’t let what’s behind you keep you from reaching the destiny set before you. Through our failures and mistakes we will gain wisdom and understanding. Don’t let anyone tell you differently. God cares about you, but he could care less about your past mistakes. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
