We don’t like each other because we subscribe to opposed and corporately manufactured narratives. We don’t like each other because the way we get our news is just as important as the news we’re getting.

Is this a squeaky wheel gets the grease kind of thing where discrimination cases simply garner a lot more attention and therefore give the impression that they are representative of the whole?

Very close to my downtown apartment was a small overgrown lot complete with a locked 10 foot high chain link fence. I contacted the owner and asked if I could use it for a garden. They said yes, that they’d be glad to have it cleared at least, and gave me the key to the fence’s lock. For two years in a row now I’ve had a hell of a garden. That’s right, I’m living the dream.

Four months after your child’s birth, at which the adoptive father cut the umbilical cord, and just a few days before you deploy to go get shot at for your country, you’re finally notified that, surprise, your ex-fiance’ gave your child up for adoption without telling you.

The 4th Amendment should be acknowledged regardless of race. That should be the reason ‘stop and frisk’ is illegal, not because only a certain segment of the population is being exposed to it.

People embarking on first careers need to take this to heart. When you’re failing everyone can smell it.

Jesus, it makes me weep to think about. We all wanted to do the best thing we possibly could so that our fathers would know and so that somehow their fathers would know.
