Blood All Over Your Hands, 1,000 Years Of Europe In 3 Minutes

I find this simply fascinating. It’s amazing to consider that so many of the daily news and events we put so much importance on are historically a blink of an eye, unworthy of a footnote, simple blocks of time creating our collective clock tower. And to see how full of war the West was just 1,000 years ago certainly makes the currently very stable West seem almost completely alien. I do have to wonder if, in terms of frequency of conflicts, Europe then didn’t look a lot more like parts of the Middle East and Africa now. At the bottom is the Game of Thrones version if you prefer the addition of epicness.
