Fascist Texas Police Pledge To Shut Down ‘Unlicensed’ Lemonade Stands, Because What Else Would They Be Doing?

Remember the days when we were little and we begged our parents for money to buy the coolest new toy, and they told us to earn the money ourselves? Not wanting to do chores, we would mix together some water and lemonade powder from the pantry and camp out on our street corner to sell our product.

Well, that is precisely what Andria and Zoey Green wanted to do. They got all their supplies in order, constructed a stand, and set off with the dream of earning one-hundred dollars to buy their dad an awesome Father’s Day gift. That dream was shattered when the Texas State Police came into the “pitcher” (see what I did there??).

“It is a lemonade stand, but they also have a permit that they are required to get,” Overton Police Chief Clyde Carter said.

I mean, its not like the police have anything better to do, right? It’s not like Texas reported $1,926,387,892 of stolen property in 2013.

Oh wait, they did.

“We have to follow by the state health guidelines. They have to have a permit if they’re going to do the lemonade stands,” Chief Carter concluded.

Andria and Zoey have not been deterred by law enforcement’s roadblock, however. They fully intend to resume their lemonade operations next weekend, but this time, they will give the beverage away for free and merely accept donations.
