You're going to feel lonely when you're dating the wrong person. Texting them isn't going to make you feel any better -- and neither is spending face-to-face time with them. Even when you're cuddled up together in bed, as close as physically possible, you're going to feel like there's emotional space between you. 

Trusting your person means feeling confident they would never betray your trust, they would never sneak behind your back, they would never do you dirty.

When you’re with your forever person, getting through your worst days is a little bit easier because you know you have someone special waiting for you at home. You know your shitshow of a day is at least going to end in a hug and a kiss.

I would rather know how you feel about me from the start than spend months assuming how you feel and find out I was wrong.

Don't settle for someone who gives you ultimatums. Don't settle for someone who forces you to pick between him and friends you've known your entire life. Don't settle for someone who questions your loyalty when you haven't done a single thing wrong.

You shouldn’t stay together because you would rather stick it out with him than start all over again with a new relationship.

If you love me the right way, I won't make you fight for my attention. I won't make you compete for my love. I won't make you guess what's on my mind.

You should hold out for a guy who treats you right, not a guy who treats you slightly better than the last guy.

I care too much about myself to start caring about you again. 

The longer you spend in a bad situation, the more normal it feels. You get used to the arguments and the tension and the tiptoeing around.

He's confident you aren't going anywhere -- while you're nervous he's going to leave at any second.

It's hard to forgive someone who doesn't even seem like they're sorry.
