I flirted with you and you flirted right back. So why didn’t we end up together? Why did we get caught in a game of bashfulness and banter if it wasn’t going to lead to something more? Why did we hover on the edge of commitment without ever tumbling over the side?

Instead of tossing rose petals from a basket, she made her ‘flower’ girl toss out handfuls of dead flies. Everyone loved that little touch. Assumed they were fake. I think I was the only person to notice one shiver and attempt to fly away.

You don’t have to make a huge move, like leaning in for a kiss. But you can get him alone, glance at his lips, and get close. That way, you won’t technically be initiating the kiss, even though you’re pretty much the mastermind behind it all.

“I just pushed his knife back into his throat while he kept trying to slash at my face, snapping his wrist in half in the process. I wasn’t even trying to kill or do any of that. I was just scared.”

A hug. A long one that literally lasts minutes.

We know what we want. We’re not going to settle for less, because we know we deserve more.

Interrogating him. You shouldn’t feel the need to question him as soon as he walks through the door. If you expect the worst from him, then why are you with him?

If you want my attention, then you’re going to have to put in effort. Real effort. You have to do more than press a button or two on your phone. A text just isn’t enough.
