Screw You And Your Mixed Signals

There is nothing more annoying that a person who believes that it’s okay to be fickle, it’s okay to leave me waiting, it’s okay to pick and choose when to pay attention to me and when to act like I’m invisible.

God & Man

Don’t ignore me the entire day and then message me at two in the morning.

Don’t leave my messages unread and then like every single one of my selfies.

Don’t give me unlimited attention one week and then drop out of my life the next week.

Don’t send mixed signals, because there is nothing more annoying that a person who believes that it’s okay to be fickle, it’s okay to leave me waiting, it’s okay to pick and choose when to pay attention to me and when to act like I’m invisible.

Why the hell would I keep treating you like my first priority when you always treat me like a second choice? Why would I offer you handfuls more than you ever give?

I’m sorry, but I’m not interested in an unequal relationship.

I’m not going to drop everything that I’m doing to hang out with you, just because you decided to call me at the last second instead of planning things out ahead of time.

I’m not going to reply to you after two seconds when it sometimes takes you days to get back to me.

I’m not going to go out of my way to make time for you when you refuse to do the same for me.

I’m not interested in a one-sided relationship. I’m not going to give you everything I have while accepting whatever breadcrumbs you throw at me.

So don’t send me mixed signals, because they aren’t going to get you anywhere. They aren’t going to help you earn my respect and they certainly aren’t going to get you in my pants.

When you send mixed signals, you’re telling me that you like me — but you don’t like me enough.

You’re telling me that you want me in your life — but only on your own terms.

You’re telling me that you want me around when it’s convenient for you — but that you want me to fuck off the rest of the time.

I’m sorry to break this to you, but I’m not okay with any of that. I’m not going to accept your poor treatment, because I value myself. I know what I deserve.

I deserve a text back before the night ends so I don’t have to stay up waiting for you.

I deserve actual dates that are set at a specific time instead of a last minute invite when you realize that you don’t have anyone better to hang out with.

I deserve someone who wants me in the daylight and moonlight. Someone who wants me when it’s convenient and inconvenient.

If you’re the type of person who sends mixed signals, then you might as well leave my life now, because I’m not willing to settle for someone like you.

I’m not going to waste my time with your unpredictability when I could be holding out for someone who actually deserves my attention. Someone who never makes me question their love for me. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
