I’ve never gotten to settle. I’m awful at unpacking, because what’s the point? I’m just going to have to pack again in another couple days.

You gave me compassion. You taught me kindness. What it’s like to just love and love and love someone in spite of, and because of all the crap they bring to the table.

I’m sure there are exceptions to this rule, and you should always do what’s right by you, but staying “friends” after the break up is (in my opinion) like walking around with a broken leg and no cast just hoping that it will heal itself. Sure. Sure it will. Good luck with that.

Firstly, despite the name, feminism does not want to “raise women to power,” and, “take the men away from the power.” (I believe you are thinking of radical matriarchy.) Nor does it preclude you from loving men. I’m not sure why anyone would sign up for an ideology that suggest they ought to forego loving almost half the population.

I gave you the perfect girlfriend, but I could never give you me. Those rare moments where I let you see what I wanted or who I was were fraught with panic for me and judgment from you.

Look for a guy who keeps his inbox at zero. That’s a responsible man you got on your hands. He’s prompt, he’s a go-getter, he isn’t afraid of correspondence!

Oh, you’re saying that the funny girl you want isn’t rude or sick like that? She’s supposed to be nice-funny! GOOD LUCK.

Sometimes, if you are the one doing the yearning, it helps to remember that you are idealizing them. You’re their friend, so you’re letting proximity intoxicate you.

When you say we should do this again sometime, she doesn’t respond with “totally.” But rather “Oh my god, yes!” or “I’d love to!”
