On May 22nd, 23 people were killed after a terrorist attack at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England. Grande is returning to Manchester this Saturday for a benefit concert entitled “One Love Manchester”. The proceeds from the concert will go toward the “We Love Manchester Emergency Fund” for victims of the Manchester terrorist attack.
Grande won’t be performing alone. She’ll be joined by Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Pharrell Williams, Usher, Take That and Niall Horan.
Last week, Grande hailed music as a unifying force. “Music is something that everyone on Earth can share,” she wrote in a social media post. Music is meant to heal us, to bring us together, to make us happy. So this is what it will continue to do for us. We will continue in honor of the ones we lost, their loved ones, my fans and all affected by this tragedy.”
True to her word, Grande will be returning to Manchester this coming weekend.
