What You Need To Remember When The One You Loved Leaves
Maybe you won’t be able to forget that person for a very long time but don’t feel bad about it because they were a big part of your life.
It’s hard to forget the person you thought you were going to spend the rest of your life together. Maybe you saw it coming in anticipation, or maybe it was going great until they suddenly broke the news to you. Either way, the pain that is caused is a pain that you can’t explain until you experience it for yourself.
After you give all of your heart and soul to the love of your life, they can just crush you in pieces and you feel impossible to continue living.
If you didn’t get a closure it might be more difficult to move on, but to be honest the pain is still the same even if you got a closure.
The case is, they decided to let you go and the reasons don’t matter anymore.
The hardest part is that you couldn’t image living without them and when the reality hits you, they are not by your side anymore. You feel like a part of you is missing.
After the break-up, your family and friends would tell you “S/he doesn’t deserve you” or “Just move on already” and it continues.
You know you have to move on but it doesn’t happen overnight and that’s normal. Nobody can decide the amount of time for you to get over someone and move on. Everyone has their own pace so take as much as time you need in order to heal.
The pain will stick around for a while but it will get better little by little. You just need to have hope and believe that it all happened for a reason. Of course, it will
take time to have that mindset.
It’s hard to accept that the person you thought was “the one” could just leave you and move on.
They could have been your first, second or third love, but the way you felt for that person is something you can only feel, and the more you devoted to that person the harder it will be to let go and move on.
Maybe you won’t be able to forget that person for a very long time but don’t feel bad about it because they were a big part of your life, and I would say it would be unnatural to be able to forget them completely. So, don’t be so hard on yourself because there will come a day where you won’t feel the pain anymore. You will have days when you think of them, but it won’t be painful anymore. It will become a memory.
But I’m going to be honest, it not going to be an easy ride. It’s going to be bumpy at times, but you can only get to your destination by moving forward.
