Trump Insulted The U.S. Women’s Hockey Team

And the men's team laughed.

After the U.S. Women’s Hockey Team won gold at the Olympics last week, the U.S. Men’s team joined them, beating Canada in overtime.

FBI director Kash Patel joined the locker room celebration, chugging beers and calling President Trump on his cell phone. In a two-and-a-half minute call, the president congratulated the team and offered them a ride on a military jet if they come to the White House.

The president then joked that he would “have to” also extend the invite to the Olympic champion U.S. Women’s Hockey Team as well, or else he’d get impeached.

Trump said, “We’ll do the White House…we’ll just have some fun, we have medals for you guys… And we have to, I must tell you, we’re going to have to bring the women’s team, you do know that?”

The entire men’s hockey team laughed.

This is especially notable because Team USA players Jack and Quinn Hughes were taught to skate by their mother, Ellen Weinberg-Hughes, a star athlete who competed before women were even allowed to compete in Olympic hockey. She is currently an advisor to the U.S. Women’s Olympic team. Jack Hughes even said he was thinking of the women’s team when he scored his game-winning goal against Canada.

We should also note that the U.S. Women’s Hockey Team has a better record than the men’s team.

The men’s team has been in the Olympics since 1920 and has won three gold medals, eight silver, and one bronze. The women’s team has only been at the Olympics since 1998 and has won won three gold, four silver, and one bronze.

Do you think President Trump should have given the women more respect?
