Today is Kim Kardashian West’s 36th birthday, a day she has celebrated every single year with highly-paid club appearances and over the top parties she shares with her fans. This year is markedly different as Kim K has been in hiding all month, recovering from being robbed at gunpoint in a Paris hotel.
Earlier this week a Kardashian insider stated that Kim may never return to her old life. However, her long history and well-known love for sharing her life with her fans is a hard habit to break. At what point will she feel the joy that being a pubic figure use to bring her?

Kim’s 35th birthday
One of Kim’s more low-key birthdays, she was past the point of doing club appearances (she was pregnant with Saint). For her 35th birthday Kanye threw her an elaborate surprise brunch with a pregnancy theme. There were churros and guests could try on a fake pregnancy belly.

Kim’s 34th birthday
Kim wore an incredible low-cut dress at her 34th b-day celebration at Tao nightclub in Las Vegas. She celebrated with close family and friends (and a club full of people).
Kim’s 33rd birthday
Again Kim celebrated with her traditional party: a blowout at Tao nightclub in Las Vegas. Kim had given birth to North at this point at was engaged to Kanye — so young!
Kim’s 32nd birthday
Deep in her whirlwind romance with Kanye, the pair celebrated Kim’s 32nd on a trip to Rome (the trip was a surprise birthday present from Kanye). While there was no huge party, the trip itself was very public with the couple shopping in stores and dining in front of a crowd of paparazzi.

Kim’s 31st birthday
On her 31st birthday Kim was with Kris Humphries — what a throwback. Kim partied with fans at the Marquee Nightclub in Las Vegas.

Kim’s 16th birthday
Beginning the long tradition of over-the-top celebrations, Kim’s longtime BFF, Allison Statter, just shared this picture on Kim’s app. It’s Kim’s 16th birthday, long before she was in the spotlight, when she received a BMW from her parents.
Allison described the event in Kim’s app:
“Hey guys, It’s hard to believe that 20 years ago, Kim and I were turning 16 and learning how to drive. I remember Kim’s Sweet 16 so well. Aunt Kris and Uncle Robert hosted a really nice lunch for Kim with all of her friends and family at a popular Italian restaurant called Cicada. We would all do our Sweet 16s at Cicada! How cool that Kim is wearing a vintage slip dress, LOL! Kim was always a tad bit younger than us, with her birthday being in October, so we were all ready for her to turn 16 so we didn’t have to drive her everywhere anymore!”
